Cigar Review Very comparable to the Montecristo series. A light smoke but full of flavour and nuances that you would expect from a tasty havana. This superb lonsdale has a very easy draw and burn, but his cigar is also earthy and rich and as you smoke, both spicy and sweet notes mingle beautifully in the background of this exquisite Cuban cigar.

This Cuban cigar brand was introduced in 1966. The Diplomatico cigars were supposedly a second branch of the Montecristo cigars and they primarily aimed for the French cigar market. Diplomaticos is one of the few Habanos brands which was since the beginning devoted to only handmade cigars, the Diplomaticos sizes and names are similar to the Montecristo's, but the Diplomaticos cigars are made at the Jose Marti cigar factory. These Cuban cigars are mainly considered to be medium to full bodied.
