Cigar Review The Punch Serie d'Oro No. 2 Limited Edition 2013 is the first Limited Edition of the Cuban Punch cigar brand. These fine Cuban cigars are rolled with a Tapado leaf, the top leaves of the shade-grown Cuban Black Tobacco plants, which are also aged for 2 years and give these Cuban cigars their characteristic dark and oily colour.
The initial flavours of the Series de oro LE2013 are of hay with a light nuttiness, earth and some salted caramel.
The second Third, this Cuban cigar begins to balance out a little and build some more character. You can find red earth and sweet hay dominating top notes but also an undertone of fine white pepper with a hint of nutmeg.
The last third, the cigar shows hints of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg.

Punch was created in 1840 by Manuel Lopez. This Cuban cigar line takes its name from the popular character of "Punch" so widely seen in English puppetry in the 19th century. Today's lithographed cigar boxes still show the comically-dressed Punch enjoying a Cuban cigar while his faithful pet stands by, questioning why he is wearing a rainbow-coloured collar. The Punch cigars are quite popular, with the Punch Punch model the object of affection by many devoted Cuban cigar followers.
