Cigar Review The Ramon Allones Allones Extra is part of the 2011 Limited Edition collection by Habanos S.A, and was the first Ramon Allones Edicion Limitada cigar since that brand´s inception in 1837. The format is handmade, using two-year old aged tobacco and uses a special replica band together with a Limited Edition 2011 band. The wrapper, binder, and filler have all been made out of aged Cuban tobacco leaves from Vuelta Abajo. The Ramon Allones Allones Extra is widely regarded as a top notch cigar, and it’s easy to see why. Allones Extra was a standard production cigar, discontinued in the 1970´s.

There actually was a Ramon Allones, who developed these Cuban cigars way back in 1837. Originally from Spain, Allones (owner of the La Eminencia cigar factory) was reportedly the first to employ bright, lithographed labels on his Cuban cigar boxes, to help set his Ramon Allones brand apart.
